Find Hot Selling Products
Are you looking to cash in on part of the lucrative
Internet marketplace by selling hot products with
resale rights? And what are "hot selling products,"
anyway?
"Hot selling products" are products
people want to buy, plain and simple. How do you
find out what products are hot selling products?
Do some research and find out what your customers
want or need. Your job is to make sure your hot
selling product will fill that want or need. Customers
will also have "expectations" as to what
this product will do for them and satisfying expectations
will help you differentiate your hot selling product
from other products of similar description in the
marketplace.
Next, determine what your competition is. Again,
satisfying customer expectations is what will help
differentiate your product from the competition's.
Let's say, just for the sake of argument, that
you decide on a fishing pole as your hot selling
product. Now, there are lots of fishing poles out
there, but just what is it that makes yours special
compared to the one from Joes-fishing-hole.com?
Maybe your product has a waterproofed BlackBerry
built right into the handle of the fishing pole
so that the avid fisherman (or woman) can handle
email and other business while waiting for the next
nibble without ever letting go of the pole and thus
risking letting the "big one" get away.
That puts you one step ahead of Joe.
Or maybe it comes with a killer high-frequency
lure that fish can't resist so that they absolutely
lunge at the hook. Again, sorry, Joe.
You get the idea. And while it may not be likely
that you'll come up with a BlackBerry-bearing, lure-beeping
fishing pole any time soon, you can still give the
competition a run for their money. You can do this
by making sure your product does what it says (even
if it's just a good sturdy fishing pole with Uncle
Ed's favorite brand of lucky lure and nothing more),
you're priced competitively, you have excellent
customer service and never drop the ball (and maybe
you even offer free shipping or a "free with
purchase" extra, too, like Uncle Ed's lucky
lure).
Ultimately, consumers will decide who wins the
competition in a given segment of the market with
a particular type of product. This is as true online
as it is in the traditional market. Again, research
will help you determine just what that means for
your hot selling product so that you set yourself
up for success as a potential leader in the market,
with at least a chance to challenge any incumbent
leaders.
Of course, it stands to reason that you'll know
there's a substantial need and interest level in
your hot selling product as well. Pretty substantial
for fishing poles, maybe not so much for sonic slingshots.
Finally, what are you going to do to advertise
your hot selling product? Again, look to the competition
to see what's out there and working, then use keyword
phrases (like "best fishing pole" to optimize
your website (and therefore product) ranking, so
people can find you.
